INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup minced sweet onion 1/4 cup minced green bell pepper
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper 1 cup milk
2 eggs 1 cup (4 ounces) finely diced turkey ham 1/2 cup diced cheddar cheese
1/4 cup roasted shelled sunflower seeds

1 Preheat oven to 375 F. Generously grease or paper-line 12 (2-1/2-inch) or 36 miniature muffin cups. In heavy skillet, over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook and stir 5 to 7 minutes or until onion is translucent.
2 In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. In small bowl, combine milk and eggs until blended. Add milk mixture, vegetables with drippings, turkey and cheese to flour mixture. Stir mixture just until moistened. Spoon into muffin cups. Sprinkle sunflower seeds over tops. Bake 25 to 30 minutes for regular-size muffins, 15 to 20 minutes for miniature muffins or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan.
