| 1 cup julienned carrot | 1 cup julienned daikon radish | 1 tablespoon salt |
| 2 tablespoons sugar | 1/4 cup white vinegar | |
| 1 | Sprinkle carrot and radish with salt, allow to stand for 10 minutes. Press vegetables gently with a dray towel to remove excess moisture. Rinse and drain. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and vinegar with vegetables, then marinate for at least 2 hours before serving. Best when served chilled. |
