| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 cup chopped onions | 1 (3-pound) package chicken parts | 1 cup water |
| 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce | 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger | 2 tablespoons sugar |
| 1 clove garlic, crushed | Salt and pepper to taste | Chinese Relish: 1 cup finely chopped green onion |
| 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro | 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger | 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil |
| 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar or sherry | Toasted sesame seeds (optional, garnish) | 1 pound cooked angel hair pasta, tossed with sesame oil |
| 1 | Place onions in slow cooker; add chicken. In a small bowl, combine water, soy sauce, ginger, sugar and garlic; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours. Season with salt and pepper to taste. |
