Herb Cheese Muffins

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 2/3 cup milk 1 package (4 ounces) soft spreadable herbed cream cheese
1 egg, beaten 2 teaspoons minced fresh chives



1 Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease or paper-line 12 (2-1/2 inch) muffin cups. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and black pepper. In small bowl, combine milk, cream cheese, egg and chives until blended. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Spoon into muffin cups. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan. Serve warm.
