INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 4 teaspoons maple syrup
3/4 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 large egg, beaten
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 cup milk



1 Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Generously brush a cast-iron corn stick molds with vegetable oil. Place molds in oven and preheat 15 minutes. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and beat well with a wooden spoon. Fill molds. Bake until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.
