Chocolate-Almond Fudge

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups sugar 1-3/4 cups (7-ounce jar) marshmallow creme 1-2/3 cups (13-ounce can) evaporated milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine 2 cups (12-ounce package) semi-sweet chocolate mini chips 1 milk chocolate bar with almonds (8 ounces), chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla 3/4 cup chopped slivered almonds



1 Butter 9-inch square pan; set aside. Combine sugar, marshmallow creme, evaporated milk and butter or margarine in heavy 4-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full rolling boil; boil and stir 7 minutes. Remove from heat; immediately add mini chips and chocolate bar pieces, stirring until completely melted. Blend in vanilla; stir in almonds. Pour into prepared pan; cool completely. Cut into 1-inch squares.
