INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup dried shrimp 1 medium onion, chopped 1 tablespoon crushed dried hot red peppers
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root 3 tablespoon dende (palm) oil



1 Soak the shrimp in cold water to cover for 30 minutes. Drain the shrimp and pulverize them in a blender or food processoer with onion, peppers, and ginger root. Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the shrimp mixture for about 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and serve with the acaraje.
