Apple Sausage Pancake

INGREDIENTS:
1 package (8-ounces) breakfast sausage links 1 cup milk 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs 1/4 cup crushed bran cereal (nuggets, flakes or squares) 1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 to 1-1/4 cups sliced apples



1 Cook sausages in medium skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden, about 7 minutes; drain on paper toweling.
2 Measure 1 tablespoon sausage drippings; place in medium bowl. Add milk, flour, eggs, cereal, sugar and salt; beat until smooth.
3 Place oil in 10-inch skillet with oven-proof handle, or in 9-inch square baking panl tilt skillet to coat bottom evenly. Pour batter into skillet; arrange sausages and apples on batter, spoke-fashion.
4 Bake in preheated 425 F oven until pancake is puffed and golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve immediately.
