| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 cups sugar | 2 cups water | 1 T butter |
| 1/2 t salt | 4 T shortening | 4 t baking powder |
| 3/4 cup milk | 6 apples, sliced | 1 t cinnamon |
| 1 | Bring to a boil 1-1/2 cups sugar and water. Then add butter and pour into a 9" x 13" pan. Mix together flour, salt, shortening, baking powder and milk. Roll out dough and cover with apples, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon mixture. Roll like jelly roll and cut into 1" slices; place in syrup. Bake at 350 F. for 25 to 30 minutes. |
