| 6 ozs. self-raising flour | 2 ozs. suet | 2 ozs. currants |
| pinch of salt | a sprinkle of nutmeg | |
| 1 | Mix ingredients with milk to a stiff dough. Cut into four or six pieces. Mould into rounds and flatten to about three quarters of an inch thick. Dip each piece in four, then drip one by one into a saucepan of boiling water. Cook about 20 minutes. |
| 2 | Serve hot, with a spoonful of demerara sugar and a nut of butter on each. Trollins make a nice change from milk puddings after dinner. |
