| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 ozs. plain flour | 1 oz. sugar | 1-1/2 ozs. butter |
| 2 eggs | 1/2 to 3/4 pint milk | stewed apples-Vanilla |
| 1 | Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and add the milk a little at a time. Bring to the boil to make a smooth sauce. Pour into a bowl and add the sugar, a few drips of vanilla and the egg yolks. Then fold in the stiffy beaten egg whites. |
| 2 | Grease a pie dish, and cover the bottom with a layer of stewed apples. Pour the mixture over them and bake for three-quarters of an hour. |
