| 2 tablespoons margarine or butter | 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots or green onions | 1/2 cup brandy or beef broth |
| 1 cup beef broth | 1 cup sour cream | |
| 1 | Melt margarine in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Cook shallots in margarine, stirring occasionally, until tender. |
