Peanut, Garlic, and Chili Paste (Sate)

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup vegetable oil 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 1 teaspoon curry powder
3 to 4 dried red chilies, seeded and ground 1/4 cup finely ground unsalted roasted peanuts  



1 Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir-fry the garlic until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Add the curry powder, chilies, and peanuts and stir until the mixture forms a paste, 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Transfer to a jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
