| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 pork chop or thick pork steak | 1/2 clove garlic, crushed | salt and pepper to taste |
| 1/4 teaspoon whole fennel seed | 1 teaspoon olive oil | red wine |
| 1 | Rub the chop with the garlic, salt, and pepper, and press the fennel seeds into the meat. Push hard on the meat with another plate so that the seeds stay in place. |
| 2 | Brown on both sides in the oil. Use medium heat, and do not overcook. |
| 3 | Add a bit of red wine, cover the pan, and simmer for a few minutes, or until the meat is tender. |
| 4 | Serve with Italian green beans and perhaps some rice or pasta. Green salad and a white wine complete the meal. |
