INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. seal-raising flour 1 teaspoonful salt 1/2 tablespoonful carraway seeds
1 oz. sugar 2-1/2 ozs. margarine (or butter) 1 egg
1/4 pint milk or milk and water



1 Sieve flour and salt into basin. Rub in the fat and add the other dry ingredients. Mix to a soft dough with eggs and milk (previously well-beaten together). Put in a greased bread-tin. Bake for one hour in a moderate oven.
