| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 lb. seal-raising flour | 1 teaspoonful salt | 1/2 tablespoonful carraway seeds |
| 1 oz. sugar | 2-1/2 ozs. margarine (or butter) | 1 egg |
| 1/4 pint milk or milk and water | ||
| 1 | Sieve flour and salt into basin. Rub in the fat and add the other dry ingredients. Mix to a soft dough with eggs and milk (previously well-beaten together). Put in a greased bread-tin. Bake for one hour in a moderate oven. |
