| 1 cup sugar | 2/3 cup vegetable oil | 1 egg |
| 1/4 cup molasses | 2 cups all-purpose flour | 2 teaspoons baking soda |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt | 1 teaspoon ground ginger | 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
| 1 | Combine sugar, oil, and egg, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add molasses, beating well. Combine flour and remaining ingredients; stir into sugar mixture. |
