| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 lb plain flour | 1/2 lb caster sugar | 3 eggs |
| pinch of salt | 1/2 lb fat | teaspoonful baking powder |
| 1/4 lb currants | ||
| 1 | Rub fat into the flour, add salt, sugar, currants and eggs well beaten. Beat well. Then stir in lightly the baking powder and a little milk if necessary. Grease the bakestone with lard, put mixture out in spoonfuls. Bake both sides. Serve hot. |
