| 1/2 cup butter | 1 tablespoon olive oil | 1 pound sweet onions, sliced |
| 12 cloves garlic, chopped | 1 tablespoon honey | 1 cup Marsala wine |
| salt and black pepper | 1 pound spinach fettuccine, cooked according to package directions, drained | grated Parmesan cheese (optional) |
| 1 | Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cover and cook until soft. Add honey; reduce heat to low. Cook, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add wine; cook 5 to 10 minutes more. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Toss sauce over pasta; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve. |
