INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs 3/4 to 1 cup milk dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla 8 1 to 1-1/2 inch slices of challah cinnamon sugar
maple syrup, heated cherry pie filling, heated, optional



1 Beat eggs. Add milk, salt, and vanilla.
2 Thoroughly soak slices of challah in egg and milk mixture, first on one side and turning over to soak the other side.
3 Fry challah slices in a greased electric frying pan, set on French Toast setting, for about 4 minutes on each side, to desired doneness.
4 Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with heated maple syrup.
5 For a special treat, top with heated cherry pie filling.
