| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 4 eggs | 3/4 to 1 cup milk | dash of salt |
| 1 teaspoon vanilla | 8 1 to 1-1/2 inch slices of challah | cinnamon sugar |
| maple syrup, heated | cherry pie filling, heated, optional | |
| 1 | Beat eggs. Add milk, salt, and vanilla. |
| 2 | Thoroughly soak slices of challah in egg and milk mixture, first on one side and turning over to soak the other side. |
| 3 | Fry challah slices in a greased electric frying pan, set on French Toast setting, for about 4 minutes on each side, to desired doneness. |
| 4 | Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with heated maple syrup. |
| 5 | For a special treat, top with heated cherry pie filling. |
