Sliced Korean Radish (Muu Namul)

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound Korean radish, peeled 1 teaspoon Korean sesame oil 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt 1 garlic clove, crushed 1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper



1 Cut the radish into 3-inch long pencil-thin sticks. Heat the oil in a skillet and stir-fry the radish over moderate heat for 1 minute to soften. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, salt, garlic, sugar and pepper; mix well for about 1/2 minute. Turn out into a serving dish.
2 Serve at room temperature as a side dish with Korean foods.
