| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 12 ozs plain flour | 3 rounded teasponnfuls baking-powder | 6 ozs dripping |
| 2 ozs butter or margarine | 6 ozs brown sugar | 4 ozs currants |
| 4 ozs sultanas | 1/4 teaspoonful nutmeg | 1 egg |
| 1 gill milk | pinch of salt | |
| 1 | Sift flour, salt, nutmeg and baking-powder together. Rub fat into flour. Add fruit and sugar. Mix well but lightly with beaten egg and milk. Turn into tin and bake in a moderate oven for 1-1/2 hours. |
