Prepare the Nuoc Cham and roasted peanuts. Set aside. |

Combine the garlic, fish sauce, salt, sugar, oil, black pepper to taste and the ground nuts in a bowl. Set the marinade aside. |

Thinly slice the beef crosswise, against the grain, into 12 strips that are 1-1/2 inches long and 4 to 5 inches wide. Mix the beef strips with the marinade; let stand for 30 minutes. |

Sandwich each piece of meat between 2 pieces of bacon and thread on the skewers. |

Grill the skewers over hot coals or under a broiler for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once. Serve immediately with Nuoc Cham. |
