Almond Pudding (Mandelflammeri)

INGREDIENTS:
2 tbls cornstarch 1 cup milk 2 tbls sugar
pinch of salt 1 tbls chopped almonds 1 tbls butter
1 egg, separated



1 Stir cornstarch in a little milk until smooth. Bring to a boil the rest of the milk, sugar, salt and almonds. Add cornstarch mixture and let cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in butter and egg yolk. Fold in stiffly beaten white. Rinse a glass dish, and while still moist, turn pudding into this, and chill.
