INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds ground veal 1 egg 1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups cracker meal 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon leaf sage, crumbled 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine



1 Combine ground veal, egg, milk, 1/2 cup of the cracker meal, salt, pepper, and sage in a large bowl; mix lightly.
2 Divide into 16 equal mounds; form each into a drumstick shape around a wooden skewer.
3 Melt butter or margarine in a small frying pan; sprinkle remaining 1 cup cracker meal on wax paper. Dip each drumstick into melted butter, then roll in cracker meal. Place in a single layer in a well-greased jelly-roll pan. Drizzle remaining melted butter or margarine over tops.
4 Bake in hot oven (400 F.) turning once, 40 minutes, or until golden.
