Quick and Easy Biscuits

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1-1/4 teaspoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder 2/3 cup milk 1/3 cup vegetable oil



1 Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine dry ingredients and set aside. Combine milk and oil; add to dry ingredients and gently mix until just blended and the mixture forms a wet dough. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and gently knead 8 or 10 times. Pat dough out to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits with a floured biscuit cutter. Pat out scraps and cut until all dough is used. Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden. Makes a wonderfully light and fluffy biscuit.
