| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| Puff-Pie Crust | 3/4 cup bread crumbs | 2 lbs beans, cooked |
| 1 lb roast lamb, sliced | gravy, 1 cup or less | 1 egg yolk |
| SAUCE: 1 cup cream | 2 eggs | 1/2 cup vegetable juice |
| curry or garlic, to taste | 1 tsp onion, chopped | 2 tbls white wine |
| salt and pepper | ||
| 1 | Roll dough out thin and use most of it to line greased baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and fill with alternating layers of beans, meat slices and gravy. Prepare sauce, blending well, and pour over pie-filling. Use remaining dough to cover the pie, pricking with a fork for airholes. Brush with egg yolk and bake in a moderate oven 350 F. for an hour. |
