Favorite Oven-Fried Chicken

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 3 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1 broiler-fryer chicken (about 3 pounds), cut up



1 Place melted butter in a shallow dish or pie pan. Combine remaining ingredients, except chicken, in another shallow dish.
2 Roll chicken pieces in melted butter, coating each evenly, then roll in crumb mixture, coating each completely.
3 Place chicken pieces about 1 inch apart on rack of broiler pan. Broil in preheated broiler, turning pieces once halfway through cooking time, until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork, 25 to 40 minutes.
