Dried Bean Salad (Kernbohnensalat)

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb dried white beans 3 tbls vinegar 3 tbls water
1 cup beef stock salt and pepper 1 bud garlic, crushed
1-2 strips bacon



1 Wash beans and let soak in water overnight. Next day, cook until tender, about 2 to 3 hours. From the remaining ingredients, except bacon, prepare a marinade. Pour this over the beans and let soak in well. Chop bacon and fry to a light brown. Just before serving, pour bacon grease and chopped bacon over beans.
