Green Mole (Mole Verde)

INGREDIENTS:
3-4 cups sliced cooked turkey, chicken, or pork 2-1/2 cups green tomatillo sauce salt
small lettuce leaves mild pickled chiles (optional) about 1 cup (1/2 pint) sour cream



1 Arrange the meat (cut thinly or thickly, as you like) in a wide frying pan and pour the sauce over all. Cover and warm gently over low heat; when the mixture begins to bubble slightly, simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Add salt to taste.
2 Arrange meat with sauce on a platter. Garnish with lettuce leaves and pickled chiles; serve with sour cream.
