| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 3/4 C cocoa | 1-1/4 C milk | 3/4 C light brown sugar |
| 2/3 C butter or oil | 1 C sugar | 3 eggs, unbeaten |
| 1-1/2 tsp vanilla | 2 C flour | 3 tsp baking powder |
| 1/2 tsp salt | ||
| 1 | Stir cocoa into hot milk and cool. Then stir in brown sugar until well dissolved. Cream butter and sugar and beat thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and well sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk mixture and blend all together. Pour into oiled 10 x 10 x 2" pan and bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees, about 45 minutes. Toothpick comes out clean when done. |
