| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 lb treacle (syrup) | 1/2 lb demerara sugar | 1 tablespoonful butter |
| 1 | Melt butter in a saucepan, then add treacle and sugar. Stir gently. Boil until a few drops poured into cold water set crisp (about 10 minutes). Pour into rectangular greased tin. When nearly cold cut into sizeable squares. Nuts may be added if liked. |
