INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb treacle (syrup) 1/2 lb demerara sugar 1 tablespoonful butter



1 Melt butter in a saucepan, then add treacle and sugar. Stir gently. Boil until a few drops poured into cold water set crisp (about 10 minutes). Pour into rectangular greased tin. When nearly cold cut into sizeable squares. Nuts may be added if liked.
