| 2 quarts primrose petals | 1 gallon cold water | 1 lb raisins |
| 3 lbs sugar | 1 lb wheat | 1 oz yeast |
| 1 | Put the primroses into the water and leave eight days, then squeeze them out. Put the chopped raisins, sugar and wheat into the liquid and stir until the sugar is dissolved, then sprinkle the yeast on top and leave to ferment 28 days. Skim, strain and bottle. |
