| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 C flour | 1/2 t baking powder | 1 egg, unbeaten |
| 2/3 C sugar | 3/4 butter or margarine, soft | 2 t vanilla |
| 1 | Sift together flour, sugar, and baking powder. Blend in butter, egg, and vanilla. On a lightly floured surface, divide into four parts and shape each part into a roll about 3/4" thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 4" apart. Make a depression 1/2" to 1/3" deep lengthwise down center with knife handle. Fill depression with jelly or jam. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. While still warm, cut diagonally into ribbons. Cool on racks. |
