| 6 rolls | 1 cup milk | 5 tbls butter |
| 1 cup sugar | 3 eggs, separated | peel of 1/2 lemon juice |
| 1 cup almonds or poppy seeds | 1/2 cup raisins | |
| 1 | Slice rolls and soak in milk until it is absorbed. Cream butter, stir in sugar, egg yolks, lemon peel and juice. Shred almonds and fold almonds (or poppy seeds), raisins, soaked rolls and stiffly beaten egg whites into butter mixture. Bake in a greased baking dish, in a hot oven (425), for 30 minutes. |
