| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 C cornmeal | 1/2 tsp salt | 2-1/2 C boiling water |
| 1/2 lb cheddar cheese | 1/2 C milk | paprika |
| 1 | Make a mush by adding cornmeal gradually to boiling salted water, stirring constantly, cook over boiling water, 30-45 minutes. Pour into shallow pan. When cold, cut into 1" squares. Melt cheese in top of double boiler; add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Alternate layers of mush and cheese in a casserole and bake in a 350 degree F. oven, 20 minutes. Sprinkle paprika and serve hot. |
