Beanie Weenie Cornbread Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon molasses 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (NOT fudge sauce)
1 tablespoon prepared mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon instant coffee
pinch garlic powder or 1 finely minced garlic clove pinch ground ginger 2 (16-ounce) cans baked beans (any style you like)
1 12-16 ounce) package mini hot dogs (or use regular hot dogs cut into chunks) 1 (8.5-ounce) package corn bread/muffin mix 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese



1 Lightly coat a 9-inch by 9-inch square baking dish with non-stick spray. Turn oven on to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, molasses, chocolate syrup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, instant coffee, garlic powder and ginger, stirring well. Slowly stir in beans and hot dogs, being careful not to break up the beans. Pour into prepared pan. Prepare corn bread batter according to package directions and stir in cheese. Drop by large spoonfuls onto beans. (If your package recommednds that you let the batter sit for a couple of minutes before baking, do that.) Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes.
