Turnip Fritters

INGREDIENTS:
1 large turnip, peeled and cubed 2 green onions, chopped 1 C Bisquick
1 egg, beaten salt, pepper water
1/4 C oil



1 Cook turnip in boiling water until tender. Drain. Place cubes in medium bowl and mash. Add onions, Bisquick, egg and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Stir in enough water to make of pancake batter consistency. Heat oil in large skillet. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into oil, in batches, and fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain well on paper towels.
