Boiled Asparagus Spears

INGREDIENTS:
2 lb fresh asparagus spears, 2/3" thick boiling water 1/2 t salt



1 Place asparagus in shallow 2 qt baking dish, 1/2 c boiling water and salt, cover with waxed paper. Cook on high 9-10 minutes or until just tender, rearranging stalks once. Serve with Hollandaise sauce, melted butter or margarine, or grated Parmesan cheese.
