| 2 lb fresh asparagus spears, 2/3" thick | boiling water | 1/2 t salt |
| 1 | Place asparagus in shallow 2 qt baking dish, 1/2 c boiling water and salt, cover with waxed paper. Cook on high 9-10 minutes or until just tender, rearranging stalks once. Serve with Hollandaise sauce, melted butter or margarine, or grated Parmesan cheese. |
