Lemon-Barbecued Turkey

INGREDIENTS:
1 (10 to 10-1/2 pound) turkey, quartered 4 small cloves garlic, crushed 2 teaspoons salt
1-3/4 cups lemon juice 1 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons ground thyme 2 teaspoons pepper



1 Place turkey in a large shallow container. Mash garlic with salt in a medium bowl, using a fork. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour over turkey. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, turning turkey occasionally.
2 Remove turkey from marinade, reserving marinade. Prepare fire in a covered grill. Place turkey, skin side down, on grill. Cover with lid, and grill over medium coals 2 hours or until done, turning every 15 minutes. Baste turkey with marinade during last 30 minutes of grilling time. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
