| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 pgk active dry yeast | 1 T sugar | 1-1/2 t salt |
| 2/3 C hot milk | 1/4 C Parmesan cheese | 1-1/3 C flour |
| 1 T shortening | 1 egg | 1 C Mozzarella cheese, shredded |
| TOPPING: 1 lb sausage or ground beef | 1/4 garlic clove, smashed & chopped | 1/2 t each: oregano, marjoram, salt, sugar, & parsley flakes |
| 1/4 C onion, chopped | 8 oz can tomato sauce | |
| 1 | Place in mixing bowl, yeast, flour, sugar, shortening, salt, egg, and hot milk. Beat at medium low speed for 3 minutes. Batter may climb beaters; just push down with rubber spatula. Spread in greased 12" pizza pan. Spread topping over dough to within one half inch of edge. Sprinkle with cheese. Let rise in warm place for 20 minutes. Bake at 450 F for 15-20 minutes. |
| 2 | Fry or boil meat with onion and garlic; drain well. Stir in tomato sauce and spices. Simmer 5 minutes. Topping suggestions: mushrooms, salami, green peppers. Canadian bacon, pineapple, etc. |
