| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 cloves garlic | salt | 225ml/8 fl oz tahini (sesame paste) |
| 125ml/4 fl oz lemon juice | 2-3 tablespoons cold water | pita bread, to serve |
| 1 | Chop the garlic roughly and mix with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. With the top of a knife, squash the garlic and mix to a smooth paste. |
| 2 | Combine the garlic paste, tahini, lemon juice and cold water in a bowl. If it is too thick, add a little more water until a sauce-like consistency is reached. Add about 1/2 teaspoon of salt to taste. Serve as a dip with bread, or as a sauce. |
