| 3 C sugar | 3/4 C margarine | 2 eggs |
| 8-10 C flour | 1-1/2 C water | 3 C brown sugar |
| 1/4 C shortening | 1 t each ginger, cloves, anise oil, & baking powder | |
| 1 | Cream sugars, margarine, shortening, and eggs. Add ginger, cloves, anise oil, and baking powder. Mix in flour with the water. Roll out dough (section of dough at a time) until it is a pencil-thin rope and cut into very small pieces. Bake at 375 F for 12-15 minutes. |
