| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 pound lean ground beef | 1 pound ground veal or lean pork | 2-1/2 cups cornflakes, crushed |
| 1 small onion, chopped fine | 1/2 cup chopped parsley | 3 eggs |
| salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste | 3/4 cup tomato sauce, ketchup or barbecue sauce | |
| 1 | Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. With your hands, mix together ground meat, cornflakes, onion and parsley in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder and tomato sauce. Pour over meat mixture, and work in with your hands. |
| 2 | Transfer to a lightly greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour, or until juices run clear (160 degrees if using a meat thermometer). Let stand 10 minutes, pour off any fat, and slice to serve. |
