INGREDIENTS:
4 cups Masa Harina (dehydrated masa flour) 2-2/3 cups warm water or meat or poultry broth 2/3 cup (1/3 lb) lard
2 teaspoons salt



1 Mix masa flour with the warm water or broth until the dough holds together well. Whip lard or shortening until fluffy. Beat in the masa and the salt. Cover with a damp cloth and keep cool until ready to use.
