Grilled Hamburger (Yuk Sanjuk Kui)

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 pound ground beef 1/4 pound ground pork 2 cloves garlic
1 scallion 1/8 pound bean curd (about 2 inches) 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 teaspoons sesame oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon sugar
dash pepper



1 Crush the garlic and mince the scallion. Combine with the ground meat and the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Roll the meat into 6 flat hamburger patties.
2 Grill the meat over a charcoal or an electric grill. If neither of these is available, use a broiler.
3 VARIATIONS: Use 1/2 pound ground beef or 1/2 pound ground pork or 1/2 pound ground chicken.
4 Substitute bread crumbs for the bean curd.
