| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 large red onions, unpeeled but with ends cut off | 2 large tomatoes, cubed | 2 tablespoons sugar |
| 2 celery stalks | 2 large carrots, sliced | dash of salt |
| dash of pepper | 1 2-pound jar prepared gefilte fish pieces | carrots |
| horseradish | ||
| 1 | In a large pot, place onions, tomatoes, sugar, celery stalks, carrots, salt, and pepper. Heat to boiling. |
| 2 | Add gefilte fish pieces and simmer for about 1-1/2 hours. |
| 3 | Remove from heat. |
| 4 | Remove celery and onion skins. |
| 5 | Chill in refrigerator. |
| 6 | Serve with carrot slices and horseradish. |
