Easy "Homemade" Gefilte Fish

INGREDIENTS:
2 large red onions, unpeeled but with ends cut off 2 large tomatoes, cubed 2 tablespoons sugar
2 celery stalks 2 large carrots, sliced dash of salt
dash of pepper 1 2-pound jar prepared gefilte fish pieces carrots
horseradish



1 In a large pot, place onions, tomatoes, sugar, celery stalks, carrots, salt, and pepper. Heat to boiling.
2 Add gefilte fish pieces and simmer for about 1-1/2 hours.
3 Remove from heat.
4 Remove celery and onion skins.
5 Chill in refrigerator.
6 Serve with carrot slices and horseradish.
