| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 cloves garlic, sliced thin | 2 tablespoons peanut oil | 2 yellow onions, peeled and chopped |
| 8 stalks celery, chopped | 6 Chinese mushrooms, soaked for 1 hour, drained, and chopped | 1 10-ounce package sugar peas or frozen peas |
| 1 teaspoon brown sugar | 1 tablespoon sesame oil | 2 tablespoons light soy sauce |

| 1 | In a hot frying pan or wok saute the garlic in the peanut oil. Add the onions, and cook for a moment. Add the celery. Cook for a few minutes more and then add the Chinese mushrooms and either sugar or frozen peas. Cook on high heat until all is hot, about 5 minutes, stirring very often. Mix the brown sugar with teh sesame oil, soy sauce, and sherry. Throw this into the pan, mix, and serve. |
