| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 3 pounds beef short ribs | 1/4 cup flour | 3 tablespoons oil |
| 1 can consomme or beef broth | 1 cup dried apricots | 2 tablespoons brown sugar |
| 2 tablespoons vinegar | 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon | 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
| 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice | ||
| 1 | Dust ribs with flour. Heat oil in a large skillet, and brown ribs on all sides. Place ribs in the crock cooker. Combine remaining ingredients, and pour this mixture over ribs. Cover and cook at low heat for 6 to 8 hours. Remove ribs and apricots. Skim off excess fat, and serve cooking juices over meat. Top each serving with the cooked apricots. |
