INGREDIENTS:
1 sausage ring water to cover 1/2 cup chopped shallots
2 tablespoons butter



1 Pierce the sausage casing with a fork to prevent its splitting. Simmer the sausage for 30 minutes in water to cover, then drain, and saute with the shallots and the butter until the shallots brown lightly.
