Bulls Eye Eggs (Wole Oczka z Jajek)

INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs 4 slices French bread 2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy cream lettuce leaves 4 anchovy fillets



1 Remove centers from bread and saute crusts in butter. Pour half the cream in the bottom of a baking dish.
2 Arrange the bread crusts. Break an egg into each crust. Pour the remaining cream evenly over eggs. Bake at 350 F for about 15 minutes. Serve in lettuce cups with an anchovy over each egg.
