| 4 eggs | 4 slices French bread | 2 tablespoons butter |
| 1/2 cup heavy cream | lettuce leaves | 4 anchovy fillets |
| 1 | Remove centers from bread and saute crusts in butter. Pour half the cream in the bottom of a baking dish. |
| 2 | Arrange the bread crusts. Break an egg into each crust. Pour the remaining cream evenly over eggs. Bake at 350 F for about 15 minutes. Serve in lettuce cups with an anchovy over each egg. |
